1. Can Ramos PublishingTM help me to format and publish my manuscript?
Ans: Yes! If you’ve been anxious to see your work finally published, we can help you. All you need to do is to complete your manuscript and send it to us. You will be billed for final typesetting, layout and design. We will also assign you an ISBN from our series and assist with copyrighting your work. You are responsible for final proofing and editing of your work.
2. Is this really affordable?
Ans: Yes! You can start with as little as 100 copies of your publication and order reprints as you need them. The more you print, the more cost effective it will be. If you don’t deliver to us a typed manuscript, there is a maximum cost of $5.00 per page for typing alone. Additional charges are levied for proofing and editing. Your cost can be as little as $1,000 per publication with 100 copies. Artwork is done at an additional cost.
3. Do I have to come up with all this before my work is printed?
Ans: No! You make a down payment of half the estimated cost before we begin your publication. Once the work is finished, you are obliged to pay the other half. Your books will only be delivered to you once you pay the full amount. No credit allowed! You have full control over marketing and sales and you keep your copyright. Once we are paid for our services, you no longer have any obligation to us and you keep all the proceeds of your sale.
4. What if I have no money at all and really want my work to be published?
Ans: Ramos PublishingTM will assess your work and decide if we can publish, market and sell your books on your behalf. Under this arrangement, you only collect royalties at a pre-agreed rate. We collect the proceeds of the sale, which go towards paying for your publishing, printing, marketing and distribution costs. The copyright is ours.
5. How quickly can you do this?
Ans: Not sooner than two months. Depending on the length of your work, typing and typesetting can take from days to weeks. Formatting takes 1 to 2 weeks. You will then be sent a proof of your work, which you return to us with any corrections that need to be made. The finalization process takes another two weeks or so, and printing takes about 3 weeks.
6. How do I get started?
Ans: Send your completed manuscript (digital/typed copy preferred) and a description of how you would like your book to look with a self-addressed stamped envelope, in which we will mail our reply.
